STORAGE
We recommend that our pastries be stored at room temperature in an air tight container. They should last two weeks in relatively fair condition. You will notice that the pastries will become more chewy/juicy as time goes on. Eventually, they will begin to dry out which is generally an indication that they are nearing shelf-life. You may choose to refrigerate your pastries. This will make them hard and chewy but will extend the shelf-life to six weeks.
Freezing is another alternative to extend the shelf-life to six months. Simply set at room temperature until pastries thaw and serve.
DELIVERY
Orders made before 12noon are dispatched the same day for next day delivery. You will be able to track your order online as soon as payment is confirmed by Barclaycard.

Rich Turkish, Greek, and Middle Eastern pastry of phyllo (filo) dough and nuts. Phyllo is a simple flour-and-water dough that is stretched to paper thinness and cut into sheets, a process so exacting that it is frequently left to commercial manufacturers. For baklava, 30 or 40 sheets of phyllo, each brushed liberally with melted butter, are layered in a baking pan with finely chopped walnuts, pistachios, or almonds. After the pastry is baked it is drenched with a syrup of honey and lemon juice. Cinnamon, ground cloves, cardamom, or rosewater may flavour either the filling or the syrup.
Does it matter Baklawa or Baklava?

Baklava -- the name itself sounds enticing and exotic. There is something seductive about the flaky layers of ultra-thin filo dough and nuts, drizzled with sweet syrup.
Most Mediterranean countries, from Lebanon to Syria, Greece to Turkey, have versions of baklava. The most traditional form of baklava, which we sought, is sheets of filo and nut layers cut into rectangles or diamonds.

Baklava or baklawa is a rich, sweet pastry featured in many cuisines of the former Ottoman(Turkey) countries. It is a pastry made of layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped walnuts or pistachios and sweetened with syrup or honey.
Gaziantep, a city in Turkey, is famous for its baklava and, in Turkey, is widely regarded as the native city of the dessert. In 2008, the Turkish patent office registered a geographical indication certificate for Antep Baklava.
Baklava was chosen to represent Cyprus in the presentation Sweet Europe of the cultural initiative.
